AviLease Refreshes Fleet with Boeing 737-8 Order

Saudi Arabia-based global aircraft leasing company AviLease has placed an order for 20 Boeing 737-8 aircraft, with options for an additional 10 units. This order supports Saudi Arabia’s strategy to become a global aviation hub as part of its Vision 2030, aiming to serve 330 million passengers and attract 150 million visitors annually.

AviLease CEO Edward O’Byrne stated that the order demonstrates the company’s ability to execute transactions across all market channels, including direct purchases from manufacturers. Brad McMullen, Boeing’s Senior Vice President of Commercial Sales and Marketing, noted that the 737 MAX will diversify AviLease’s fleet and support its global growth ambitions.
